What is MPS?

Managed Print Services (MPS) is a strategic solution that allows organisations to significantly reduce print cost. The solution involves management of all hard copy device fleets (copiers, printers, multi function devices, and fax machines) in a unified fashion. It is usually outsourced to a strategic industry partner.

The Process

During this phase we analyse your current print environment with a tool that comprehensively captures a complete inventory of your print devices, your print volumes, and your operating costs. We do a walk through of the work environment and complete a simple management questionnaire. At the end of this phase we present you with a comprehensive report (snap shot) of your current situation and identify specific steps which will result in operational improvements.

Control:

During this phase of the MPS implementation we help clients gain control of the existing fleet of devices and significantly reduce their operating cost. There is no need to dispose of or acquire any new equipment.

Optimise:

At this point, the implementation is focused upon optimising the fleet by trying to ensure that hardcopy assets are deployed in the most optimal manner. This is a structured ongoing service that reduces an organisations capital and operating expenditures and frees IT personnel to focus on core IT initiatives. Rationalisation of the print fleet is possible during this phase.

Enhance:

During this phase, we move beyond optimisation of the fleet to actually enhancing the capabilities by integrating document management and document workflow to improve basic business processes especially paper intensive processes.
